Toro Rosso kör med ny vinge

Till Kanadas Grand Prix som närmar sig med stormsteg kommer Toro Rosso introducera nya vingar på sina bilar. Både vingar fram och bak kommer bytas ut för att anpassas bättre till Kanadas bana, men ingen av vingarna har testats annat än i vindtunnel ännu. Teamets Giorgio Ascanelli säger följande om det tekniska via Toro Rossos hemsida;

We will be running new front and rear wings to suit the low downforce nature of the track. The front wing also requires new bargeboards and all these items will have their first track test on Friday. For now, we are having to trust in our wind tunnel data. Of course we have new braking solutions for this track which is the hardest on brakes, while also keeping some elements of our Monaco package as Montreal is also a soft tyre, bumpy circuit. There are further changes aimed at improving reliability.

Toro Rosso har fått en småseg start och står utan poäng hittills i år. I Monaco var teamets Scott Speed dock nära då han slutade på en nionde plats. Teamkompis Liuzzi crashade redan på andra varvet. Så här beskriver Liuzzi själv sitt lopp;

I was hit hard at the first corner after the start by someone behind me and I think it must have damaged something, because the car was not right after that. But I tried to do one more lap and then as I came over the bump at corner three I lost control. It was a real shame because I had a reasonably good starting position so I was optimistic I could do something good this afternoon.
